Illegal Immigration Action Plan

Illegal Immigration is my hot topic – it makes me madder than a rattlesnake in a tin bucket. The biggest part of this issue that ticks me off is the constant and deliberate refusal to use the word illegal when talking about the illegal immigration problem. Immigration made this country the wonderful place it is today and we still need immigrates to bring their unique and diverse personalities and cultures into our nation. That has nothing to do with illegal immigration – nothing at all.

Illegal immigrants, no matter what their reasons, are breaking the law and should be punished at least as harshly as we would be if we broke our own laws. Anyone who is hurt by their crimes (in the case of children and their parents who brought them here illegally) should still be deported. Their parents chose to put them at that risk, not us. Illegal immigrants suck up our government funds, take our jobs, and use up our resources. They send our money back to their countries which is an unjust enrichment if I’ve ever heard of one. And those are just the illegal immigrants who come here to escape war, famine and poverty.

Other illegal immigrants sneak into our country to sell drugs and guns and commit crimes. The police have a difficult time finding and arresting them because they can just jump back and forth between here and Mexico and they have no identity trail, like fingerprints or an address, in this country.

Many of the problems facing America illegal immigration is making worse from health care to unemployment to education to the economy. The time to act on this is now.

  • Demand Stronger Border Security – there are simply not enough safeguards to prevent illegal immigrants from sneaking into this country. We need more border security guards and more, stronger barriers. Although many politicians and the president have been trying to improve this situation there is a great deal of opposition from businesses, Churches and civil liberty groups. We need to fight just as hard from our side to get these changes made.
  • Demand Businesses Prove Employee Status – If companies couldn’t hire illegal immigrants, illegal immigrants would have a tougher time finding jobs and without jobs fewer illegal immigrants would sneak into our country. Some states are already cracking down on employers that hire illegal immigrants but we need to demand a nationwide law demanding that every employee is proven to be able to legally work in America.
  • Demand Harsh Penalties On Businesses Who Hire Illegal Immigrants – The companies that decide to hire illegal immigrants and leave legal Americans in the cold should be fined harshly for their decision. Only when it proves to be more risk than it is worth will businesses stop taking advantage of the cheap exploited labor from illegal immigrants.
